The Curly Gang

We have a small gaggle of well cared for, healthy, spoiled Sebastopol Geese who are lovingly referred to as the Curly Gang. For us, it was love at first hatch! We drove all the way down to Florida and brought home eggs from a beautiful show flock of geese and twenty eight days later the Curly Gang was born.  You will often find them wandering around our farm honking at any other animal who looks their way, chasing the dogs or the kids around or knocking on the back door, just to say “Hi”... and poop on the deck of course! Their gorgeous summer feathers are a sight to behold. Their curls stream and cascade to the ground, like a train of an elegant wedding dress.  They look like curly angels, floating across the green grass of the pasture. Naturally, grass is 90% of a goose’s diet. The Curly Gang are kept  on fresh green grass all year round. When the summer grass has gone dormant for the winter, we do not feed commercial feed. Instead, we plant safe winter Rye. Our geese are also fed top quality natural supplements which are vital to their strength and vitality. Our geese are pasture rotated every two weeks in order for them to have a fresh, clean grazing area. The Curly Gang have two bathing pools which are cleaned and refilled daily. We follow a strict biosecurity protocol which helps them stay healthy and disease free. They receive extra attention during breeding season, which only happens for a short time, once per year. We do our best to avoid predator stress, therefore they are locked up and secure at night. Their night time pen is cleaned every single day. Our geese are never locked away in small breeding pens. They are never stuck in muddy, overcrowded conditions.  The Curly Gang are cherished, producing members of our farm. We are thrilled to be able to share our lines with select farms and families all over the country.
